Who is Lisa Hatfield, Writer?

  • Every word of fiction I write is based in reality. It’s compiled from the experiences of a thousand people just like you.
  • Tales of natural and family disasters.  You’re in the right place. Let’s stick together.

You’re not the only one in the world with your fears or crazy background. Trust me, you are not alone.

  • Want to go on thrilling contemporary adventures in a small-town setting?
  • Ready to learn how to be prepared for anything?
  • Want to hang around with good people who are working through their own “stuff”?
  • Check out the Ready to Go? series:

Spring 20266 “Ready to Go?” events

At each event, I’m sharing free information from Colorado State Forest Service, offering advice about where to start when you don’t want to think about hard things, and selling my three books, mylar emergency blankets, and My Ready to Go? Workbook:

  • Sat. May 16, 8 a.m. to noon  Drip Coffee House, 13800 Gleneagle Drive, Colorado Springs (north of Gleneagle Candle Co.) I’m here as a “pop-up store,” and then you can get coffee or a snack too.
  • Sun. May 31, noon to 4 p.m.  Hidden Gems Local Art and Bookstore, 5020 N. Nevada #120, Colorado Springs (north of Petco). My books are always available at this store and also at the Monument Hidden Gems location near Back East Bar & Grill. They only sell items created by “Colorado artists.”)
  • Sat. June 6, 8 a.m. to noon  Drip Coffee House, 13800 Gleneagle Drive, Colorado Springs (north of Gleneagle Candle Co.) I’m here as a “pop-up store,” and then you can get coffee or a snack too.
  • What other ideas do you have for events I could join?

To Starve an Ember, a novel about wildfires and family disasters.

To Melt a Snowdrift, a novel about blizzards, big rigs, and taking the wheel.

To Ride a Storm Surge, a novel about a hurricane and family dynamics.
